Lunar New Year

On January 29, 2024, at 6:30 PM, the Springfield, Massachusetts City Council unanimously approved a resolution proposed by its President, officially recognizing the Lunar New Year as an annual celebration in the city. This decision honors the Lunar New Year and pays tribute to the Chinese community in Springfield and throughout the United States, recognizing their significant contributions. With the passing of this resolution, Springfield will now officially support annual Lunar New Year festivities, promoting related activities within the community to celebrate this multicultural holiday.
